Roller Derby Nederland

At occasional meetings with e.g. the World Organisation (WFTDA), we sense changes within the Roller Derby World and inform our member leagues about possible new developments.

We also recognise the occasional National Champs Tournament (Nationaal Kampioenschap, NK), which can be organised and hosted by one or multiple leagues.

Along with the representation of the leagues, the bond also provides support to the leagues with their questions. Members can also support the bond by joining commitees, which are the task-forces for creating resources for the leagues.

Roller Derby Nederland has committed to the charter for diversity and inclusion of the NOC*NSF and is participating member of the according committee.

Being accepted as a professional sport means that the sport is officially recognized by governing bodies and industry organizations as a legitimate and viable career path for athletes. This recognition typically comes with a range of benefits, including access to funding, resources, and infrastructure, as well as the ability to secure sponsorships and endorsements.

All Roller Derby Leagues that play by the rules of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) or similar rulesets including Shorttrack and Junior Roller Derby (JRDA) can join the bond. You will have to agree to the statutes as well as statements on diversity & inclusion and a code of conduct.
